Remedies to Remove Body Tan

It is that time of the year again when sun is ablaze and burning. Going outside means getting tan all over your exposed body. You might think getting rid of those tanned arms and feet is a difficult thing with long hours and loads of money to be spent in salons. It is not so there are a few things that can be done at home and will make your tan go away quickly.

  1. Yogurt: Yogurt has a soothing, cooling effect on your skin, it tightens as well as shrinks pores. You can mix it with tomato and lemon which will act as natural bleach and also lighten skin tone. You can make a paste of lemon, tomato juice with yogurt. Apply it on clean face , let it dry and then rinse it off with water. Repeat this two to three times a week and you will notice your tan fading away.
  2. Aloe Vera: Aloe vera has a very soothing effect on burning and inflamed skin. So it is very effective in sun burn and sun tan. You can use aloe vera juice or take fresh aloe vera from the plant. Apply it on the affected areas overnight and then rinse off with water in the morning. Your skin will feel cool and tan will go away.
  3. Gram Flour and Turmeric: Turmeric is an excellent antiseptic and it lightens your skin that helps minimize scars and other marks. Turmeric also eases allergic and infectious skin disorders that make your skin dull, dry and lifeless. You can make a paste of 1/2 tablespoon turmeric with 2 table spoons of gram flour in 1 spoon curd. Apply the paste evenly on your skin and leave until dry. Wash off massaging gently. Use the remedy once or twice a week for tan removal.
  4. Potatoes: Potatoes are believed to be a foodies dream but not only is that raw potato great for sun tanned skin. It is a rich source of vitamin C so it lightens your skin tone. Make paste of two raw potatoes by pealing them and mixing in a blender. Apply it all over the tanned areas, let it dry and then wash it off with water. You can additionally add some lemon juice to make the pack more effective.
  5. Cucumber: Cucumber is a blessing for your skin. Along with lime it is best for your tanned skin. Make a mixture of cucumber and lime juice on the affected areas , keep it for 10 to 15 minutes. Then wash it off with water. This mixture will additionally help reduce dark spots and blemishes.
